Windsor Light Music Theatre is a non-profit organization dedicated to providing "Broadway-style" live theatrical performances to the Windsor-Essex area. We thrive on the challenge of planning, producing and executing a high quality performance. This fall, WLMT will embark on our seventh annual Youth Performance Program.
We are currently looking to fill the position of:
CHOREOGRAPHER
Primary Responsibilities:
The Youth Performance Program Choreographer will be responsible for directing all of the dance/movement elements of the 2022-2023 Youth Theatre production. They will plan weekly choreography rehearsals and supervise the youth participants in various activities throughout the course of the production. They will collaborate with a Director and Music Director, as well as work with the technical department heads to produce a quality performance. Work responsibilities will be Saturdays from 9:00 am – 1:00 pm. The program runs from October to April, with administrative duties beginning in September.
Requirements:
Qualified applicants must have theatre experience and experience working with youth. Applicants with education in areas relating dance, performing arts, and who have a strong love of theatre would be an asset. Successful experience in dance instruction is also an asset. The successful candidate must be self-directed, creative, motivated, and must enjoy working with young learners. All applicants must be 18 years of age or older.
